What this is and why it exists

GrowthTech Spotlight covers B2B marketing technology, sales tech, and AI tooling for the people who actually use these products every day. Demand gen leaders, marketing ops practitioners, revenue teams building pipeline and trying to figure out what's worth buying, what's worth building, and what's just noise.

Most content in this space falls into one of three categories: vendor-funded content dressed up as editorial, surface-level listicles that help nobody make a real decision, or LinkedIn thought leadership that sounds smart but says nothing specific. We started GrowthTech Spotlight because we wanted a source we'd actually trust if we were the ones evaluating a new ABM platform or trying to figure out whether AI SDR tools are worth the investment.

How we work

Every claim we publish is sourced. When we cite a statistic, we link to where it came from so you can evaluate the methodology yourself. When we review a tool, we explain exactly how we tested it, for how long, and with what kind of team. When something is our opinion rather than a data-backed conclusion, we say so.

We don't accept sponsored content. We don't run affiliate links. We don't let vendors review articles before publication. This isn't because we think vendors are bad. It's because the moment your revenue depends on keeping a tool company happy, your coverage stops being useful to the reader. We'd rather build something smaller that people actually trust.

What we cover

Our content falls into five areas: AI in B2B marketing (our primary focus and the space moving fastest), honest tool reviews and comparisons, operational playbooks you can actually implement, market analysis that explains what industry moves mean for practitioners, and original benchmarks and data that marketers can use to evaluate their own programs.

We lean heavily into AI coverage because it's the area where the gap between hype and reality is widest, and where practitioners need honest information the most. But we're not an AI publication. We cover whatever is genuinely useful to people running B2B growth programs, whether that involves AI or not.

Who we are
